KNUCKLEHEADZ is the latest series pushing Jayson Swann’s vision of “cinema without limits”—a high-stakes world of shootouts, explosions, raids, and characters operating on the edge.
Directed by Swann, the series came together through a connection with multi-talented artist Allen Cass, who plays AC. That connection led to an unexpected casting shift: a role originally written for a doctor became THE MAYOR—a character with plenty of room to get his hands dirty.
For me being first time actor stepping into the role, the production was also a first: a first script, a first live set, and a first time working under the pressure of cameras, cast, and crew.
The learning curve was immediate.
After watching the first scene with the Chief of Police, the performance felt rough. But instead of hiding from it, the experience became fuel to improve.
By the time the next scenes arrived—with Breeze He as Ammo’s brother, the gun dealer and enforcer, and Peter as the police investigator—the performance began to take shape.
The key was simple:
Take the character and find a way to be yourself.
That meant learning the script, practicing, and even rewriting sections in a natural voice. The ad-libs became less about adding random lines and more about finding how the character would actually speak.
That shift changed everything.
The set itself carried two completely different energies. Off-camera, the cast and crew built genuine chemistry, shared laughs, and formed lasting connections. But once someone called “Action!”, the atmosphere changed.
It was all business.
Game time.
With raw action, explosive set pieces, high-profile raids, and nonstop intensity, KNUCKLEHEADZ delivers the kind of independent filmmaking that thrives on risk, personality, and creative freedom.
Behind the chaos, the production also created something just as important: a team. New friendships, professional relationships, and a cast connected by the experience of building something from the ground up.
And the Mayor?
He’s only getting started.
Season 2 is on the way, raising one question:
How dirty is the Mayor willing to get? 👀🔥
